…vintage schooner painting, oil on board, signed “aa” - beautifully detailed nautical painting with rich wooden frame. painting has verbiage towards the bottom in italian translating to “the schooner kitty of oneglia in the storm” (oneglia is a suberb of imperia, italy.) it continues to say “offering by francesco berio di sur” (we could not find information on this individual) and then ends with “at the holy virgins of the forest, april 18, 1898” - the date is in reference to the schooner and not the date of the painting which we believe to be mid-century.
