…what a unique shape, color and detail to this antique (early 20th century) tool mold, made of wood and painted. we were told this piece was pressed into wet sand to develop the shape in which hot metal was poured into and upon cooling removed to reveal the metal version of this oversized piece. unsure of what machinery the part went into after. reminds us of a pair of glasses, great sculptural piece and art on its own.

condition: sturdy with wear as shown, overall sturdy with an element or two slightly loose at the top of the piece. all typical with age.
