…originally this antique bronze foot sculpture served as an oil lamp with some sort of hinged lid on top to secure the opening and to snuff out the fire. it would be filled with oil and the wick would be placed in the top opening and lit. today, it also works as a taper candle holder (thinner taper candle), the little handle is perfect for moving the candle around. these foot-shaped lamps were believed to represent good health and healing.
