…a new series from my most recent study of coral fragments, experimenting with more earth tone colors, taupes and browns. my coral paintings are meant to seem old, loved, found and discovered. they are a contrast of old (antique framing and plaques) and new (original paintings by me).

this coral is painted on an antique italian plaster / chalkware borghese frame, heavy and solid to stand the test of time as it had in its first chapter. I love the structured quality and beauty of these frames as they appear to be windows into my coral paintings.
